MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Reverend Dr. Danny Anthony Everett

Dear Brothers, Colleagues, and Friends,
Welcome to the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter — the 124th House of Alpha and the pride of our hearts.
Founded in 1906 at Cornell University by seven visionary Black college men, Alpha Phi Alpha has a rich legacy of leadership and service. Our Lexington, Kentucky alumni chapter was established in 1928 by nine distinguished Black professionals—educators, physicians, clergy, and others—who were committed to uplifting the local community during a time of widespread racial injustice.
Today, our chapter continues that legacy through impactful programs such as:
• Project Alpha – educating young males on sexuality, fatherhood, and healthy relationships
• Reading, Writing & Rewards – promoting literacy and mentorship at William Wells Brown Elementary
• Annual MLK Unity Breakfast – honoring the legacy of Brother Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
• A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People – advancing civic engagement through voter education and registration
Guided by the fraternity’s core objectives—to inspire ambition, promote dignity and freedom, encourage noble manhood, and uplift humanity—we remain steadfast in our mission to build a more just and equitable future in the Bluegrass region and beyond.
As Brother Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, we strive to “hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.” We invite you to join us in this transformative work—whether as a supporter, ally, or future member. If you share our values of knowledge, service, integrity, and excellence, we welcome your time, talents, and commitment.
Take the next step. Connect with us, attend an event, volunteer, or explore membership. Together, we can make a lasting impact.

Best regards,
Reverend Dr. Danny Anthony Everett,

President
